Rhythm on the Ridge is a roots music festival held on the grounds of scenic Maple Ski Ridge in Rotterdam. Plenty to see and do! Loads of live music, crafters, vendors, food, children's activities, music workshops and field pickin'. We feature original music of local and regional artists. Easy on the Wallet! Our 2-day tickets are only $25 for adults and children 15 and under are free with paid adult entry! One day ticket only $15.00.

Lexington Family Services has announced that it will hold its 8th Annual 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the city of Johnstown, NY. This is a 2012 Fulmont Roadrunners Grand Prix Event. The race begins and ends at Lexington Center, 465 N. Perry Street in Johnstown, at 9:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m. Awards will be presented. T-shirts for the first 100 registered runners. Entry fee for runners is $15 prior to the event and $18 day of race; Walkers fee is $10. More info at www.fmrrc.org |

Lexington Family Services will hold its 8th Annual 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk. This is a 2012 Fulmont Roadrunners Grand Prix Event. The race begins and ends at Lexington Center, 465 N. Perry Street in Johnstown, at 9:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers, and to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69 and 70 and over. Short-sleeve t-shirts will be provided to the first 100 registered runners. Entry fee for runners is $15 prior to the event and $18 day of race; Walkers fee is $10.

The race benefits Lexington Family Services, a program that serves families of persons with developmental disabilities, providing respite, recreation, school break respite, parent support groups, a teen support group, summer employment, advocacy and other services.

Mayfield Historical Society Strawberry Festival |

The Mayfield Historical Society will hold its annual Strawberry Festival at the Riceville Homestead, 328 Riceville Rd., Mayfield, NY on Sat. June 9, 2012 from noon to 4:00pm. Strawberry shortcake and beverages will be served. The festival marks the opening of the Riceville Homestead for the season. There will be entertainment, tours of the home and weaving demonstrations. The festival is open to the public. Donations are $4.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 8 years of age.
