ACS Relay for Life Garage Sale

From 9:00AM to 5:00PM

Relay for Life team Charlie’s Angels will be holding a garage sale fundraiser. The garage sale is located at 1011 Main St (Rte 26), West Leyden. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Remsen Bottle and Can Drive

Remsen Relay for Life team "Fred's Vikings" will be hosting a bottle and can drive in front of the Remsen High School. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Thank you for your time.

Family Fun Day at the NYS Museum

The New York State Museum offers free fun for the whole family with games, crafts, and other theme based activities!

Whale of a Time

Place: The New York State Museum.

You do not have to travel to the sea to learn more about these spectacular ocean mammals. Step into the port, and see how whales were once dominant in the Hudson River.

Have A Heart Motorcycle Ride 2012

The event will take place at the Vet's Club on Lake Street in Richfield Springs. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the ride starting promptly at 10:00 a.m. We will be taking an approx. 60-mile round trip ride through the southern valleys, starting at the Vet’s Club. There will be a half point break with drinks and bathroom facilities available. We will return to the Vet’s Club for lunch. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 Raffle will be held after the ride!

Musical: Middle School Madness @MVCC

Fri, July 20, 8pm, Sat, July21, 2pm and 8pm, and Sun., July22, 2pm. Tickets on sale now! Call 315-853-7309. $10 for matinee and $15 for evening. This show is for ages 10 to 100! All the music and script are written by Mr.James Pentaudi of Albany Talent. The show is a production by the Academy of Performing and Creative Arts in Clinton, under the direction of executive producer Jovita Bernard. Topics in the show include: bulling, disrespect & respect, forgiveness, peer and parental conflict and resolution, suicide, leadership, insecurity, boy/girl-harassement- rejection -crushes- acceptance, unity, leadership, teachers, and much more! The music includes Salsa, rap, rock, swing, and R&B. You don't want to miss this unique offering performed by local youth from around Oneida County!

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor

In July 2009 Gov. Patterson signed into law -- for the first time and the only time in New York State -- a State highway dedicated to the men and women who served in Vietnam. New York State Route 38 is now designated as the New York State Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor.

The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapters 377, 480 and 704, Chapter 17 - The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club will be holding the “4th Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor - Tribute Ride.”

The ride will begin at 11:00 AM from The Owego Free Academy, Owego, NY. The 98 mile ride will end at the American Legion in the Village of Hannibal…The ride is open to the public. Please register the day of the ride.

The ride will make one stop in the Village of Groton for food and gas, and then proceed north again where the ride will end at the American Legion in Hannibal, where once again there will be food and entertainment.

Hagaman Benefit Ride and Music Fest

At the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department, Hagaman.

Benefit: Ride for Leatherstocking Honor Flight Bikers should arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 to register.

The riders will leave the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Departmant at 10 am. There is a donation of $20 per bike and $15 for passengers. There will be raffles to benefit the A Rose for Soldiers Project. The Hagaman Music Fest will follow with lots of music and food! Partial Proceeds from the Music Fest will go to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department.

Furry Funny 2012

From 7:30PM to 10:00PM

The Furry Funny Comedy Night to help the Stevens-Swan Humane Society is coming up at The Ramada in New Hartford. Featured comedians include Phil Farda and Mike Bova plus headliner RC Smith from New York City. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. A cash bar and a food menu will also be available. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and will be $20.00 at the door on the night of the show.
