HALO is having their Trash & Treasure Sale at the Polish Community Center on South Washington Street in Herkimer. Bargains galore! It's like one, BIG garage sale, all indoors! Household items, toys, games, books, and all kinds of merchandise--all with LOW prices! HALO's spring-summer cash raffle (7 cash prizes, $1,000 top prize) will be available. Proceeds benefit the cats & kittens of HALO, Helping Animals Live Organization.

The Original Holistic and Psychic Fair

Pony Tail Drive for Cancer

Pony Tail Drive Honoring Laurie Ceravolo at the American-Ukrainian Veterans and Mens Club, 208 Canal St, Rome. You can make the cut that will change another woman’s life. Created by Pantene in partnership with the American Cancer Society, this charity campaign encourages Americans to grow, cut and donate their healthy hair to create wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Please visit pantene.com for donation requirements for beautiful lengths. Laurie Ceravolo is a 31-year-old mother of two young girls who was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in December. Since then, she has been on a mission to take on the fight against breast cancer and inspire others to do the same. We will have many raffles, a bake sale, 50-50 and will be collecting donations for Laurie at this event. If you wish to donate your hair and meet all the requirements, the cut will be FREE! This event is being sponsored by local hair stylists and Blown Away Full Service Salon! All children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent. This event has FREE admission as well! Pig Roast Benefit for Chris Sleight

Come pig out at a benefit for Chris Sleight and family, at Robin’s Nest in Broadalbin. Chris’s wife and son were killed in a recent car accident in Amsterdam. Luckily, his 2 year old survived and is recovering in Albany Medical Center. Enjoy a pig roast from Divine Swine, band and DJ, raffles and cash bar. Loads of food! It's a suggested $25 donation, but anything will be accepted. Come pig out and help Chris & his family, and thanks!!

Richfield Springs Soup&Pie Supper&Chinese Auction

Come Join Us for the Richfield Springs Community Center's Soup & Pie Supper and Chinese Auction!The Richfield Springs Community Center invites the surrounding community to our Annual Soup & Pie Supper and Chinese Auction. This fund raising event will be held on at the R.S. Community Center located at 6 Ann Street (corner of Walnut and Ann) in Richfield Springs. Homemade soup, bread, fresh pie, and beverages will be served. The donation fee is $6.50 per person and $25.00 per family. Children under 5 eat for free. Be An Advocate for Agriculture

Are you an advocate for Agriculture? Do you know what it means to advocate? If you desire to see Agriculture promoted and want to help consumers understand the industry please join us at the Oneida County Extension Office as Cari Rincker, Attorney at Law, leads a workshop focused on Agriculture Advocacy, marketing your product, and using social media to your advantage. The afternoon will be spent working on livestock judging skills and learning more about the beef industry. Ms. Rincker is an accomplished attorney in New York with a practice that focuses on food/agriculture law as well as environmental law. Raised on a Simmental cattle operation in Illinois, Cari judged livestock at Lake Land Junior College and Texas A & M University. Cari has a passion for working with youth interested in Agriculture. The cost of the program is $10.00 for 4-H youth and $20.00 for youth not enrolled in 4-H. Lunch will be provided. The workshop will target youth ages 9-19 years but adults, parents and leaders are encouraged to attend.
