Cornell COOP Berries in the Home Garden

From 12:00AM to 11:55PM

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County Master Gardener Volunteer Program will present “Berries in Home Garden”, presented by Cathy Heidenreich, Berry Extension Support Specialist, Cornell University on Wednesday, May 22nd. Class time is 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A “how to” talk on planning and preparing for planting berries in the home garden. Discussion topics will range from selecting berry crops for season-long enjoyment to maintaining established plantings and managing weeds, diseases, pests and wildlife. There will also be an in-depth look at establishing strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, along with a review of home berry gardener resources. The class will be held at the Extension Office located at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center, 121 Second Street, Oriskany. There is a minimal class fee of $10. Registration is required.
