Heritage Plant Sale at the Farmers' Museum

From 10:00AM to 4:00PM

Purchase plants and cuttings from the museum’s Botanical Specimen Garden. Varieties include sweet cicely, mugwort, valerian, foxglove, and coneflower (Echinacea). For a headstart on vegetables, choose from squash, tomatoes, cabbage, cucumbers, and more. Held Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19 and May 25-26 at The Farmers’ Museum, 5785 State Highway 80 in Cooperstown. The sale takes place outside the museum’s main entrance.

Big Basket Bonanza in Cherry Valley

BIG BASKET BONANZA! St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community will hold its sixth annual basket raffle at the Community Center, 2 Genesee Street in Cherry Valley. Doors open at 2pm for viewing the wide variety of baskets from home gardening to pet care, from kitchen helpers to accessorizing your home! Drawings begin at 4pm, for over 70 baskets, but you can get a preview of baskets at local businesses: the Coyote Café, Cherry Valley Hardware, A Rose is a Rose Flowers, The Tepee, The Pleasantbrook Hotel and Tavern, NBT Bank in Cherry Valley and the Plaid Palette all have baskets on display. There will be food available as well as a 50/50 and door prizes. It is well worth the short trip on a Sunday afternoon to attend this popular event.
