The Palatine Settlement Society’s annual Rhubarb Festival is at the historic 1747 Nellis Tavern, Route 5, St. Johnsville. There will entertainment, a rhubarb pie baking contest at noon and lots of rhubard delicacies for sale. Admission is free but donations arealways welcome.

From 12:00PM to 3:00PM

The Herkimer County Humane Society’s annual “Mutt Strut” is at H-Triple C on Reservoir Road in Herkimer. It’s a walk for the animals with all proceeds to benefit homeless and abused animals. There will be prizes, pet contests, music and vendors with T-shirts for walkers raising $25 or more. For more details go to herkhumane.org
