The Charleston Historical Society will present a program, “History of Photography and the Camera”, at their headquarters on Polan Road in the Town of Charleston. The guest speaker will be photographer John Visconti. After the program there will be a flag retirement ceremony. The public is invited to bring in their faded, torn or worn out flags for proper disposal.

From 2:00PM to 6:00PM

The Gloversville Business Improvement District has its first annual Southern Adirondack Wine & Food Festival, on Main Street in downtown Gloversville. The event will feature tastings from New York wineries, local food vendors, music and tours of the architecture of the downtown area. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 2 North Main Street in Gloversville.

The West Canada Valley American Legion and Newport Volunteer Fire Department invite the public to a Dignified Unserviceable Flag Disposal Service at the Newport Fire Station. Unserviceable flags may be placed in provided receptacles. Refreshments will be served.
